periplus workshops july 2025 arcadia-dimitsana, greece
Among the first artist residency programs of its kind in Greece, periplus focuses on developing material strategies for local Greek communities. Working with the workshop i helped develop the design of a metal foundry/ceramic kiln using simple materials from the local hardware stores costing less that 200 euros. Using this foundry I then produced several castings of the negative volumes of my body with the lost wax technique utilizing locally sourced aluminum waste and clay to produce a more accessible means towards working with metals in this capacity.
